Sexual Assault Survivor Stories
In 2019, Sexual Assault Awareness month 2019 kicked off our inaugural Living As A Survivor campaign. During the month of April survivors had the opportunity to anonymously submit to us their stories. So many brave survivors entrusted us with their stories. For some, this was the first time ever their survivor story was told. Survivor stories have powerful healing power both for the survivor telling the story and for other survivors who read it. To tell your survivor story is empowering. Thank you to all the courageous survivors who shared their stories and used our platform to regain their voice. We believe you, we hear you and we love you. You are not alone. You can read the survivor stories that were sent to us in the Living As A Survivor Journal.
If you have a story to share, let us know. Your voice helps heal the wounds of sexual assault. When you are ready to share, we are ready to listen.

If you’re unsure if your experience “qualifies,” talk to us privately. You don’t have to carry this alone.
Is my case too old?
Not necessarily. Pennsylvania law has extended the timeline for many survivors to seek justice, especially in cases involving childhood sex abuse.
Even if the abuse happened years ago, you may still have legal options. We can review your situation confidentially and help you understand what’s possible.
Will my name be public?
Your privacy is a top priority. In many cases, we can file your case using only your initials or a pseudonym to protect your identity.
We will never share your name or story publicly without your explicit consent.
What if I don't want to go to court?
That’s okay. Many sexual assault cases are resolved through private settlements outside of court. We will never pressure you into taking a path you’re not comfortable with.
You decide how far to go and at a pace you are comfortable with—we’re here to guide and support you, not push you.
Can I still come forward if I never reported it?
Yes. You do not need to have reported the assault to the police or anyone else in order to pursue a civil case. Many survivors come forward for the first time through a civil attorney.
Your voice still matters, and your experience is valid.
How much does it cost to work with your firm?
There is no upfront cost. We offer free, confidential consultations and only get paid if we win your case.
You never have to worry about legal fees getting in the way of seeking justice.
What if I'm not ready to take legal action – can I still talk to someone?
Yes. You can reach out just to ask questions or explore your options. There’s no pressure and no obligation.
We’re here to support you at your own pace.
Can I file a lawsuit anonymously?
Yes, in many situations you can remain anonymous throughout the legal process. We’ll walk you through your options for protecting your identity and work to ensure your privacy is respected every step of the way.
What's the difference between a criminal case and a civil case?
A criminal case is brought by the government to punish a perpetrator, while a civil case is brought by you to seek financial compensation and accountability.
Even if no criminal charges are filed—or the person is found not guilty—you may still have the right to pursue a civil case.
